    Against this backdrop, we conceptualized the Hariharananda <\/span>Shikshashrams<\/span> project in 2018 \u2013 small village schools in rural and tribal regions of Odisha. In these schools, children receive quality education in Odia language, with a special focus on English. Students are charged a nominal tuition fee which their parents can afford to pay. Each school would have a respective trust (with competent people) to manage the school. Prajnana Mission, in cooperation with HAND IN HAND accompanies the development of the schools as well as the design of the lessons in an advisory capacity.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Currently, the Shikshashram Betakholi school is run in a rented house with three rooms and a dormitory with 62 students from classes Kindergarten to Grade 3. The school has five full-time teachers, one part-time teacher (Art), as well as a caretaker and a field worker.
